What Is a Manual Dough Sheeter?
A manual dough sheeter is a kitchen appliance used in confectionery and bakery settings for evenly rolling out dough for products like bread, pies, and cookies.
This device typically consists of a roller, with diameters ranging from 90mm to 200mm, mounted on a rectangular board. The dough is placed on the board, and by turning a handle, it is fed under the roller. As the roller rotates, it uniformly thins the dough, making it ideal for lamination processes used in baking croissants and Danish pastries, where butter is repeatedly folded into the dough.
Often referred to as a reverse sheeter or reverse dough sheeter, this tool allows for rolling out dough in both right-to-left and left-to-right directions, offering flexibility in use.
