What Is a Diaphragm Pump?
A diaphragm pump is a device that conveys fluid by reciprocating a diaphragm. The term “diaphragm” refers to a membrane-like material that serves as a partition.
The internal components of a diaphragm pump consist of the diaphragm and two valves. The mechanism involves the up-and-down and left-and-right movement of the diaphragm, along with the opening and closing of the valves, which results in the alteration of volume for fluid suction and discharge.
There are various driving methods, including air-driven, hydraulic-driven, direct-driven, motor-driven, solenoid-driven, and more. The form of the diaphragm pump varies depending on the driving method.
