Drilling Heads

What Is a Drilling Head?

A drilling head is a key component used to secure a drill bit for conducting hole-drilling operations. It typically features a cylindrical shape with a pointed tip, designed to penetrate the workpiece and create precise holes.

This tool is critical for accurately positioning the drill bit and ensuring stable drilling. Drilling heads are available in two primary types: integral drilling heads, where the drill bit is built into the head, and replaceable drilling heads, which allow for changing out drill bits as needed.

These heads are widely used in various machining equipment, including machining centers and milling machines. They are also found in electric drills and hand drills, serving a fundamental role in drilling operations across multiple applications.
