Hayacoat

What Is Hayacoat?

Hayacoat is a substrate coating agent manufactured and sold by Sunhayato Co. The substrate coating agent Hayacoat is called Hayacoat Mark2.

It is used to coat circuit boards inside equipment installed outdoors against external environmental factors such as humidity, condensation, and salt damage, as well as in other environments that generate corrosive gases such as sulfur, which is typical of hot spring resorts.

Hayacoat can also be applied to prevent corrosion and insulation of substrates in environments where insulation is degraded due to migration or moisture absorption.

Applications of Hayacoat

The following is a reference transcription from Sunhayato’s website, which describes the application of Hayacoat.

Hayacoat Mark2 is used for control boards for factory automation robots in factories, traffic control systems such as traffic lights and ticket vending machines, vending machines, cell phone base stations, outdoor sound equipment, outdoor air conditioning units, and monitoring and communication equipment in hot spring resorts.

Hayacoat has been used in many mass-production applications, such as in microcomputer overclocking countermeasures due to condensation during forced cooling.

Principle of Hayacoat

Sunhayato Ltd., which manufactures and sells Hayacoat, started out in the chemical products business, developing mainly chemical products related to electronic circuit boards, including the hit product contact revival agent, and has now expanded from the electronic equipment business to the board-related product business to the audio-related product business. Among these products, Hayacoat, a substrate insulation coating agent, is undoubtedly a mainstay product with a long history for Sunhayato, having gone on sale shortly after the company was founded.

By applying the coating agent to the substrate, the insulating film formed on the substrate guards it from moisture, dirty outside air that causes corrosion, and other defect factors. The coating has a low odor and is not regulated, making it easy to work with. It has excellent insulating properties because it can soak into even the smallest areas of the board, and it adheres firmly to solder surfaces, metals, and resins. When repairing a board, it can be soldered without removing the coating.
