What Is a Deburring?
Deburring is the process of uniformly finishing the surface of concrete.
Using a deburring roller with vibration, the deburring process smoothens the concrete surface by leveling out air pockets and irregularities. The deburring roller, typically sized between 1 to 2 meters, vibrates through motors or hydraulics and is equipped with abrasive materials attached to its surface. Deburring is widely employed in civil engineering, construction projects, and concrete flooring tasks, enhancing the aesthetic finish, surface strength, and durability of the concrete. There are two types of deburring: dry deburring and wet deburring, each influencing the work environment and the outcome.
The timing of deburring is crucial, and it is carried out in the early stages before the concrete starts to harden. The effectiveness diminishes as the concrete curing progresses. During the process, attention must be paid to the concrete temperature and the condition of the abrasive material on the deburring roller.
