Plastic Flange

What Is a Plastic Flange?

A plastic flange is a type of flange constructed from plastic materials, such as PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride).

Flanges are components used to connect various parts, typically by fastening screws through their holes. They offer the advantage of easier assembly and disassembly compared to threaded connections. Flanges are available in various forms, including round, square, and lemon-type (often used in bicycles). A standard flange might be labeled as SUS-5K-SOP-FF-15A, for example.

Plastic flanges are favored for their lightness and enhanced properties such as strength, water resistance, and durability, especially when compared to flanges made from other materials. These characteristics make them particularly suitable for piping applications like water pipes. PVC flanges are also notable for their resistance to chemicals and seawater, making them ideal for semiconductor pipes and seawater piping systems.
