Steam Filter

What Is a Steam Filter?

A steam filter is a device designed to remove impurities from steam.

Steam filters are installed to prevent issues like equipment malfunction, damage, a decrease in product quality, and safety risks that may arise when impurities enter steam pipes or equipment. These filters find specific applications in various industries, including food processing plants, pharmaceutical factories, chemical plants, power plants, and heat treatment facilities.

There are generally two types of steam filters: strainers, which are mesh-type filters suitable for removing large impurities or solid particles, and filters, which are sheet-type filters suitable for removing fine impurities or liquids. The selection of a steam filter depends on factors such as steam flow rate, operating pressure, and the type and size of impurities to be removed.
