Float Valves

What Is a Float Valve?

A float valve is a mechanical device designed to regulate the flow of liquid and maintain a consistent liquid level.

This valve operates by linking a float to a valve mechanism. It leverages the buoyancy principle: as the liquid level drops, the float lowers, triggering the valve to open and allow more liquid in. Conversely, a rising liquid level causes the float to rise, closing the valve to stop the inflow. This buoyancy-based operation enables float valves to automatically control the opening and closing of the valve, depending on the liquid level.

Simple yet effective, float valves are integral in diverse liquid storage and transport systems. They are commonly used in water tanks of flush toilets, and in chemical tanks in industrial facilities, providing reliable and efficient flow control.
