It works by clamping the tube between a cutter wheel and a roller, gradually cutting the tube as the wheel bites into its circumference. This method allows for a straighter cut compared to sawing. Uses of Pipe Cutters
When selecting a pipe cutter, consider the diameter and material of the pipe. To use, place the pipe cutter on the fixed pipe with the knob loosened, tighten it to make a shallow cut around the pipe, and ensure the guideline is straight. Then, gradually deepen the incision by turning the cutter, being careful not to distort the cut surface or crush the pipe. After cutting, any burrs should be removed. Pipe cutters are commonly used in piping work.
Principle of Pipe Cutters
