What Is a Magnetic Conveyor?
A magnetic conveyor is a machine used to convey objects using magnetic force.
There are two main mechanisms for magnetic conveyors: belt-type and roller-type. In belt-type conveyors, magnets are installed on the belt, while in roller-type conveyors, magnets are installed on the rollers. Due to the magnetic force, objects are attracted, reducing contact between the objects and the belt or rollers. This helps minimize wear and contamination of the objects.
Key features include the ability to attract objects using magnetic force, resulting in minimal contact between the objects and the conveying system, thereby preventing wear and contamination of the objects. However, when conveying non-magnetic materials, precautions need to be taken to avoid the influence of the magnetic force. In manufacturing, they are used for conveying and sorting metal components, in food processing for removing foreign objects, and in logistics for transporting goods containing magnetic materials.
