Refrigerant Dehumidifier

What Is a Refrigerant Dehumidifier?

A refrigerant dehumidifier is a device designed to reduce humidity using refrigerants, such as Freon gas. This type of dehumidifier is particularly effective in environments where reducing moisture levels is crucial.

Operating through the compressor method, it cools air to condense moisture, subsequently collecting it as water droplets. A standard refrigerant dehumidifier is equipped with an air filter, a compressor, an evaporator and condenser connected by refrigerant pipes, and a water tank for collecting the condensed moisture. The compressor circulates the refrigerant, which cools the incoming air through the evaporator.

The extracted moisture is then drained into the water tank. The dry air is reheated by passing through the condenser and is then released back into the environment. Refrigerant dehumidifiers are efficient, consume minimal power, and can dehumidify without significantly altering the air temperature, unlike desiccant-type dehumidifiers that use moisture-absorbing substances.
