What Is a DC Current Transducer?
DC current transducers are devices used to detect direct current and convert it into electrical signals. These transducers are vital in sectors like manufacturing, power supply networks, and electric vehicles, for the measurement, control, and monitoring of electrical currents.
They consist of two parts: a current-detecting side and a signal-generating side. The current-detecting side has a conductor through which the current flows, and a coil around it to sense the current. This sensed current is then converted into an electrical signal, such as voltage or current signals, on the signal-generating side. For safety, the current detection and signal generation components are isolated from each other.
