What Is a Descaling Machine?
Descaling machines are designed to remove substances like calcium and magnesium, the main components of scale, from water or steam. Scale forms when these inorganic substances separate and solidify due to temperature and pressure changes. Accumulation of scale in pipes can reduce energy efficiency and damage equipment.
These machines employ methods like ion exchange, where ions are swapped in water to prevent mineral concentration; reverse osmosis, which filters water through a semi-permeable membrane under pressure; and ultrasonic technology, using tiny bubbles to prevent scale formation by enveloping minerals.
