Ceramic Fiber Board

What Is a Ceramic Fiber Board?

A ceramic fiber board is an insulating material made from ceramic fibers as a substrate.

It provides insulation due to its low thermal conductivity and porous structure. Ceramic fibers have low thermal conductivity, making it difficult for heat to transfer, thus providing excellent insulation. Additionally, the porous structure contains numerous air pockets, which hinder heat convection.

In the construction industry, it is used as insulation for walls and roofs, while in industrial settings, it serves as insulation for high-temperature furnace walls and ceilings. In pottery, it acts as insulation for kilns, and in the automotive industry, it is utilized as insulation for exhaust pipes and engine surroundings. Ceramic fiber boards are composed of ceramic fibers and binders. The ceramic fibers are extremely fine, fibrous materials, while the binders are adhesives that solidify these fibers.
