What Is a Communication Board?
A communication board is an expansion board used for data communication between a computer and other devices.
It comprises of three main components: communication chips, antennas, and interfaces. Communication chips handle the transmission and reception of data, antennas transmit and receive radio waves, and interfaces enable connection with the computer.
Communications boards are used in various places such as personal computers, tablet devices, embedded systems, and IoT devices. Data communication involves sending data from the computer to the communications board, which the communication chip then converts into radio waves. The antenna transmits or receives these radio waves, which are then received by antennas on other devices. The received data is processed by other devices, and replies are sent as necessary.
