Vibration Table

What Is a Vibration Table?

Vibration tables are devices used to evaluate the vibration characteristics of objects or structures and investigate their vibration responses.

Typically, a vibration table includes a base with a power source, such as an electric motor or hydraulic cylinder, and a vibration-generating device mounted on it. This device can apply vibrations at predetermined frequencies and amplitudes, enabling the evaluation of an object’s vibration characteristics and seismic performance by simulating its response to external forces like earthquakes or wind.

Vibration tables are valuable for simulating real-world vibration tests. They are used in studies assessing the impact of natural disasters, such as earthquakes, on structures, and for evaluating the vibration characteristics of vehicles and mechanical components.
