Tire Inflator

What Is a Tire Inflator?

Tire inflators are tools designed for adjusting the air pressure in vehicle tires. A typical tire inflator includes a pressure gauge to measure the air pressure and a button or lever to control the inflating and deflating of air. It connects to an air compressor, which draws in air, compresses it, and then supplies the compressed air for inflation. The incorporation of a pressure gauge in the inflator aids in accurately adjusting the tire’s air pressure to the desired level.

Many tire inflators are equipped with features that automatically stop inflation once the preset target air pressure is reached, ensuring precision and safety. Additionally, some models come with a small air tank, making them portable and convenient for on-the-go inflation needs.

The range of measurement and maximum operating air pressure can vary among different tire inflators. Some models offer a range up to approximately 600 kPa, while others are suitable for a broader range, from 50 to 1200 kPa, accommodating various inflation requirements.
