Desiccant Dryers

What Is a Desiccant Dryer?

A desiccant dryer is a device specifically designed for removing moisture from materials, such as resin pellets. It is an essential tool in industries where dehumidification of materials is crucial.

This device not only dehumidifies but also integrates the mechanism of a compressed air dehumidifier, commonly known as an air dryer, to prevent the reabsorption of humidity. There are two main types of air dryers: adsorption-type and refrigeration-type. Desiccant dryers, used in dehumidifying processes, typically utilize the adsorption method. This method involves adsorbing moisture from compressed air using an adsorbent material, thereby achieving effective dehumidification.

Desiccant dryers are capable of removing moisture levels unattainable by hot air dryers, ensuring the material reaches a sufficiently low moisture content.

Varieties of desiccant dryers are available, with some models featuring advanced humidity content measurement and energy-efficient control systems for the air dryer.
