Honeycomb Panel Eave

What Are Honeycomb Panel Eaves?

Honeycomb panel eaves are panels consisting of a continuous hexagonal honeycomb core joined to a surface material. The honeycomb core is mostly made of air layers, making it 1/8th the weight of an aluminum panel of the same size and therefore lighter. However, because of its honeycomb structure, it combines very high strength and rigidity.

The design of the uniform honeycomb core and surface material are tightly adhered to each other, resulting in high flatness accuracy and a sealed structure with excellent durability, corrosion resistance, and water resistance. Compared to the conventional press-compression bonding method, some manufacturers use a reduced-pressure forced-compression bonding method, which greatly improves bonding strength and time.

Honeycomb panels are available in a wide variety of designs and are accepted by many people as one of the coordinating elements of a building. They have a simple cross-sectional shape with a decorative material attached to the panel edge, and is flat and beautiful. They are regularly used for flat R-shaped eaves and 90°corner eaves.

Uses of Honeycomb Panel Eaves

Honeycomb panel eaves are used for the eaves of buildings. Specifically, they are used at the entrances to buildings, train stations, and airports. Because of their light weight and upper portion, they are installed extensively. Because of their resistance to wind and rain, they are installed at the entrances of most modern buildings.

They are not limited to entrances, but are also used in elevator halls, awnings attached to buildings, bicycle parking lots, bus stops, cab stands, and even promenades in exhibition halls. They are also used as eaves in areas where landscape design is important, such as station roundabouts. They are available in a variety of shapes and can be freely designed, for example, in a wavy pattern.
