What Is a Seam Sealer?
A seam sealer is a substance or tool used to effectively seal joints and seams.
This sealer offers functions such as waterproofing, dustproofing, weather resistance, heat resistance, and durability. It is utilized in various contexts, including construction (for sealing exterior walls, roofs, windows, doors, and bathrooms), civil engineering (in roads, bridges, dams, and tunnel construction), and industrial applications (for assembling equipment, piping, and joining tanks).
Seam sealers can refer to either the sealant material or the sealing machine. Sealants, the materials used for filling and sealing joints, come in rubber-based, resin-based, and cement-based varieties. In contrast, sealing machines are tools that apply sealants to joints and are available in manual or electric models. Manual machines are cost-effective and lightweight, whereas electric machines offer enhanced work efficiency and precision.
