What Is a Powercon?
A Powercon, short for Power Conditioner, is a device that converts electricity generated by solar panels from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC).
Electricity generated by solar panels is typically in the form of DC, whereas households and general power networks use AC power. Therefore, to use the DC power obtained from solar power generation for household purposes, it needs to be converted from DC to AC. This is the role of a Powercon.
The Powercon receives DC power from the solar panels and converts it into AC power suitable for households or power networks. In this process, the inverter controls parameters such as voltage, frequency, and phase to adjust the power obtained from solar power generation into a form suitable for the normal power supply network.
