What Is a Meat Separator?

Meat separators, used primarily in meat processing plants, separate non-edible parts like bones, skin, fat, and muscle fibers from meat and fish. They work by finely cutting the meat or fish and separating the non-edible parts using rotating blades in a cylindrical container.

The two main types of meat separators are manual and electric. Manual separators require manual operation and are suitable for small-scale operations or households. Electric separators, offering higher efficiency, are used in large-scale meat processing plants.
