What Is a Welding Booth?
A welding booth is a specialized structure created to enclose a welding area, aiming to contain hazardous substances produced during welding.
Welding generates fumes, consisting of metal oxides, which pose health risks when inhaled. Since 2021, regulations have mandated measures to mitigate these health hazards. The primary method involves facility-wide ventilation. However, in cases where this is impractical, localized ventilation such as area segmentation is permissible.
Welding booths are designed to effectively partition these areas. There are various types, including hood-type and foldable sheet booths. These booths often have openings for exhaust ducts and utilize push-pull or local exhaust ventilation systems to manage airflow and ensure safety within the booth.
