Remote Terminal

What Is a Remote Terminal?

A remote terminal is a connector designed for remotely connecting and disconnecting wires.

Remote terminals utilize actuators such as solenoid valves or pneumatic cylinders to connect and disconnect wires through remote operation. During this process, control signals from a remote controller or similar device are transmitted to the actuators, causing changes in the connection status of the wires accordingly.

Remote terminals are utilized in various settings such as industrial machinery, medical equipment, and data centers where it is desirable to enhance safety while maintaining ample workspace. They are commonly used in the wiring of robots, machine tools, surgical tables, inspection equipment, server racks, and similar applications. Their key feature is the ability to control wire connections remotely, enabling both workspace optimization and safety enhancement.
