Air-Operated Valve

What Is an Air-Operated Valve?

An air-operated valve is a type of automatic valve that uses compressed air as its driving force, in contrast to solenoid valves, which operate on electromagnetic force (electricity).

Unlike solenoid valves, which may generate heat and potentially affect the fluid’s temperature due to the solenoid, air-operated valves do not have this issue, making them suitable for applications sensitive to temperature changes.

These valves function by using compressed air to actuate pistons or diaphragms, facilitating flow control and pressure regulation. This operation allows for precise control over various mechanical processes.

Although two-way valves are standard in many applications, air-operated valves offer versatility with multiple flow paths, including three-way, four-way, or five-way options, accommodating a broader range of applications.
