What Is a Gas Booster?
A gas booster is a device used to increase the pressure of gas.
It operates by compressing the gas with a compressor and then adjusting the gas pressure with a pressure reducing valve. It comprises of three elements: compressor, pressure reducing valve, and control device, which ensure an increase in gas pressure and stability of supply. Gas boosters are utilized across various fields and come in different types such as positive pressure gas boosters, negative pressure gas boosters, single-stage gas boosters, and multi-stage gas boosters.
In industrial applications, they enable efficient welding and cutting operations through increased pressure of oxygen in industrial gases, while in medical applications, they allow for efficient supply of oxygen. Additionally, in fuel gas applications, they are used for heating and cooking in residential and commercial spaces through increased pressure of propane gas.
