What Is an Intruder Alarm System?
An intruder alarm system is designed to detect intrusions or suspicious activities and activate an alarm.
It primarily consists of two methods: the surveillance camera method and the sensor method. In the surveillance camera method, intruders are identified through surveillance cameras, and alarms are triggered by confirming their presence via video footage. This enhances alarm accuracy by visually confirming the intruder’s presence. On the other hand, the sensor method detects intruders’ movements or sounds using sensors and activates alarms based on that information. Due to its lower installation cost, it offers cost advantages compared to surveillance cameras.
Intruder alarm systems find applications in various locations, including commercial facilities, public buildings, and residential areas. In commercial facilities, they are employed to prevent shoplifting and robberies, in public buildings to counter-terrorism and riots, and in residential areas to detect intrusions or suspicious activities.
