What Is a Delineator?
A delineator is a specialized machine used in the fisheries industry to efficiently carry out the processing of fish.
Primarily employed in fish processing facilities and fishing vessels, it serves the function of efficiently removing the skin from fish. By accurately shaving off the skin of fish floating in the water using rotating blades or leveraging friction, productivity is enhanced, allowing for the swift and efficient processing of fish.
There are mainly two types of delineators: those that use rotating blades and those that utilize friction. Each type is designed to accommodate different types of fish. It is crucial to select the appropriate delineator based on the type and size of the fish being processed. However, given that delineators are inherently dangerous devices, it is essential to verify the safety of the surrounding working environment and the machine during use. Additionally, only experienced operators should handle the operation of the delineator, exercising caution at all times.
