Lubricant Pump

What Is a Lubricant Pump?

A lubricant pump is a device commonly found in automobiles and machinery that is designed to supply lubricating oil to various power systems.

It operates by using a motor-driven piston’s reciprocating motion, drawing in and pressurizing the lubricating oil. These pumps are integral in power systems like automobile engines, transmissions, and industrial machinery, playing a crucial role in reducing friction, extending component lifespan, and managing temperature rise in these systems.

There are mainly two types of lubricant pumps: gear pumps and rotary pumps. Gear pumps, known for their simple structure and ease of maintenance, are less efficient compared to rotary pumps. Rotary pumps, offering higher efficiency and the possibility of miniaturization, come with a complex structure and require more maintenance.
