What Is a Point Sensor?
A point sensor is a specialized device designed to detect and monitor water leaks or spills with high accuracy, particularly in sensitive areas like water installations.
These sensors are designed to work seamlessly with leak detection systems, placed strategically at locations prone to water leakage. Upon detecting moisture, the sensor triggers an alert, and any detected liquid can be promptly cleaned off, allowing the sensor to resume normal operation almost immediately. Optimized for a wide range of environmental conditions, point sensors operate effectively between -15°C and 50°C, in environments with humidity levels up to 95%, though areas with high condensation risk should be avoided.
With their precise deployment in leak-prone areas such as under sinks, around washing machines, beneath countertops, within drip trays, and near electric water heaters, point sensors are invaluable in both residential and commercial settings.
