Metering Valve

What Is a Metering Valve?

A metering valve is a precise device designed to control the flow rate of liquids or gases, ensuring delivery at specific rates. This device consists of two primary components: the valve body and the actuator. The valve body, equipped with ports or orifices, regulates fluid flow by varying the size of these openings. Meanwhile, the actuator, which can be operated manually, electrically, or through pressure control, manipulates these openings to adjust the flow rate.

Widely used in industrial and chemical processing, metering valves are essential for delivering liquids at exact flow rates and for controlling temperatures and pressures in heating or cooling systems. Additionally, they find applications in both household and commercial settings for managing hot water and water supply systems.
