What Is a Slit Tube?
A slit tube is a tube that has been slit in the extension direction.
Slit tubes are used to cover wiring materials for protection, reinforcement, and binding.
The main feature of this product is that it can protect wires easily and quickly after wiring. It is also called corrugated tubing by some manufacturers.
Thanks to the slit process, it is easy to attach and detach, and can even be reused after removal.
The most common colors are translucent, white, gray, and black, which are less noticeable when wires are bundled.
Materials include resin, 6-nylon, polyethylene, etc.
Applications of Slit Tubes
Slit tubes are used in a wide range of situations due to their ease of installation and high flexibility.

Features of Slit Tubes
A slit tube is characterized by its extremely light weight and high flexibility. Furthermore, thanks to the slit process, it is easy to install in curved areas, and after installation, it moves smoothly when wiring is moved or deformed together.
Mounting is very easy, and many products come with a mounting jig. The work procedure involves clamping the object (wire, hose, etc.) with the jig and inserting the slit tube into the jig with the slit part facing inward. Hold the jig and the end of the slit tube by hand and then pull the jig toward you to complete the installation.
Binding bands or vinyl tape are used for terminal processing.
The slit in the direction of extension makes it easy to attach even after wiring is completed. When untying, the tube can be easily removed by simply pulling the end upward. The tube can also be reused after removal.
The choice of material can be made according to the application. 6 nylon, in particular, has excellent heat, chemical, and abrasion resistance.
